I just saw this page - far too late, but anyway, want to help keep Todd's memory alive if anyone ever looks back at this. I knew Todd from track at Oberlin College. He was a GREAT runner - and I was not - but he always treated me very well and with more respect that I probably deserved. I knew he had gone on to public service in Ohio. Mr. Portune was always a genuine advocate for PUBLIC SAFETY in Hamilton County.

I always appreciated the opportunity to express the needs of Fire and Emergency Medical Services in the county and his accessibility and willingness to listen.

Not always agreeing with his approach--I was always aware of his integrity and the value of his commitment to the citizens served by the many Fire Departments in Hamilton County.
