This is for Ms. Betsy Brookshier from "Mrs. Scerbo," your math teacher from NDA! Betsy, I've never forgotten you or your amazing parents. I hope you get this because I'd love to just hear from you briefly. My name is now Pat Hochkins and I live near Sarasota, FL. My email is [email protected]. I heard of your dad's death and, at the time, i thought of him and you. Your dad was a great man, Betsy. BTW, you can also find me on Facebook at "Patricia McMahon Hochkins" from Ellenton, FL. Hope...

I REMEMBER MR BROOKSHIER FROM HIS GAME END LEAP OF JOY AGAINST THE PACKERS IN 1960 TO HIS HUMOROUS AND INCISIVE ANALYSIS OF GAMES WITH PAT SUMMERAL. HE SHINED ON THE RADIO TALK SHOWS. HIS WARMTH ALWAYS CAME THROUGH. HE WILL BE MISSED. AN ERA HAS ENDED. GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS FAMILY. J KEVILLE (a fifty year fan)

Tom and Pat in the booth on Sundays and their NFL Films work were a huge part of my childhood growing up. They were so good together and you felt like they were there in your living room, enjoying the game with you. Tom was a Philadelphia treasure, and my heartfelt condolences to Barbara and the Brookshier family. Marc (Media, PA)

Jerry Quarry Toms partner covering boxing on CBS

my sorrow to toms familey, I sat with his aunt at rams 1980 superbowl. My father was Jerry Quarry, Toms partner on CBS , covering boxing! MY dad told me there escapades in Italy at the colliseum were hillarious. I wore A PAIR OF TOMS TENNIS SHOES FOR YEARS. BROOKY is what my dad use to call him.. they are both gone now but the world is a better place because of there lives and friendships. what ever happened to alex hawkins another one of there buddies..sincerly Jerry Lyn Quarry

My thoughts and prayers go out to Barbara and the rest of the family. Tom was a great human being, with whom I had the privilege of working at WCAU-TV and later in a campaign on behalf of people with mental illness and development disabilities. Tom always gave 200% to everything he did.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Tom Brookshier, and players like him, made me proud to be an Eagles fan. They were men we could look up to and made the game what it should be. May Tom's memory and the love and respect he created in his lifetime strengthen his family through this difficult time.

I never met Tom Brookshier but I felt he was a part of my family like an uncle. I grew up in Philadelphia Tom was the enbodiment of what an Eagle and a Philadelphian are like, hard hitting, passionate and sincere. I became a Eagle fan one year after his career ended but he made football through his T. V. work seem so real.
