Not sure what to say?

I met Tom at the U of I Library. He was a friendly and helpful person. You have my sympathy. Karen Kaiser

Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was a fountain pen collector, like I was, and we were involved in a local fountain pen collector's group.

Tom was a long-time customer of ours at International Galleries. He was brilliant and witty, and a joy to be around. I will miss him.

I enjoyed working with Tom on many wonderful rare books and projects at the U of Illinois library. He will be missed. Thankful for all knowledge he shared.

Tom and I were colleagues at the U of Illinois Library. He was actually on my search committee so I got to know him early on. He was so passionate about intellectual freedom and also rare books. He worked tirelessly on preserving history through books, some of them controversial. After retirement, we had many fun lunches because his sense of humor never, ever, flagged! Tom, I'll miss you. The library profession misses you as well.

He was a wonderful man I will miss him very much
