Tracey Mize Davis Obituary

Tracey Reneé Mize Davis, age 59, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and wife of Edward “Fast Eddy” Davis, departed this life Sunday morning, September 22, 2024.

Tracey was born June 19, 1965 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Linda Marie Walker Melear and the late Robert Gilbert Mize. She was married February 15, 1997 to Edward “Fast Eddy” Davis. She and her family started the first community theater at Fair Theater in Somerville. Tracey directed many children’s plays at Hickory Withe Baptist Church. She was passionate about the children’s ministry and she loved acting. Her favorite role was playing Patsy Cline in “Always”.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Edward “Fast Eddy” Davis; three sons, Jeff Segerson, Patrick Davis and Landon Davis (Lacey); her mother, Linda Melear; and four grandchildren, Allison Davis, Wiley Segerson, Levi Davis and Lane Davis. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Michelle Cowell.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Davis were held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Hickory Withe Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Little, former pastor of the church, officiating.
