I met Tracey when we were both young Registered Nurses, just starting our careers, on 4-East at what was then known as the NC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. As the newest nurses, we had the high honor of working night shifts and week-ends. 4-East was a very difficult unit - 44 adult beds and every person extremely ill. I attended HAHS for Junior year only, but it didn't take even that long for someone new there to know who Tracey Fodor was -- there was room in her heart for every concern and there was honest sincerity in all her undertakings. Although I was shocked to read her name in this post today, I was not surprised at all that she became a nurse and served every community in which she lived in so many ways.
