Travis Singleton Obituary

The Greatest Gift Of Life. On Saturday, March 5, 2022, Travis Wade Singleton Sr., an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, became an angel. Travis was born on May 15, 1969, in Baton Rouge, LA, to Richard and Odrie Singleton. He was in the automotive industry for 30+ years. On August 18, 1989, he married his soul mate and love of his life, Alanna Chere Singleton. Together they raised two sons, Travis and Dylan. Their 32 years of marriage was a remarkable love story that will live on for eternity. Travis, or Big T, as most knew him, lived his life everyday to make his family happy and to create memories worth a lifetime. He loved being on his boat and taking rides at sunset with Alanna by his side while listening to great music. He was full of smiles, playful jokes, and witty comebacks. He was naturally gifted in everything he set out to do. He was kind and gentle, patient, and an idol of sorts. He was everything anyone could have ever asked for and no one can hold a candle up to him. Travis was the incarnation of purity and a pillar of hope for all. He is loved and cherished by many, but never to be forgotten. This little light of ours, a gift he passed on to us, we are going to let it shine to guide him safely on his way home. He is survived by his wife, Chere, his mom and dad, Richard and Odrie, his oldest son Travis, and his wife Christian, his youngest son Dylan, and his wife Haylie, his six grandchildren, Lenny Jane, Audyn, Davyn, Aurie, Bella, and Zayne. He is also survived by his siblings, Terry Glass, Donna Warner, Rhonda Volpi, Darla Mays, and Rick Singleton, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Services will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 9:00 am until a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. Celebrated by Rev. Ken Spivey with burial to follow at Gateway Gardens Memorial Park, 29245 S. Magnolia St., Livingston, LA. 70754. Flowers and donations can be sent to Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Highway, Gonzales, LA 70737. You may visit our website at www.oursofh.com.

So very sorry to hear about Travis. I have known him since 1997 when he was at A.K.Durnin as a used car mgr ans I was just starting as an auction sales rep. He was always nice and fun to cut up with. God bless you and your family Travis.
