I met Troy in 1984 while we were doing a commemorative jump into The Netherlands on the 40th anniversary of the jump he and the 101st made in 1944 even into the same drop zones. It was such an honor and a highlight of my life to meet some of those heroes of WWII face to face, beer to beer. Troy was a true gentleman and an American hero.
