I met Troy in 1984 while we were doing a commemorative jump into The Netherlands on the 40th anniversary of the jump he and the 101st made in 1944 even into the same drop zones. It was such an honor and a highlight of my life to meet some of those heroes of WWII face to face, beer to beer. Troy was a true gentleman and an American hero. Hard to believe that I am writing this almost 40 years after meeting him and almost 80 years after he "stepped out the door" to serve his country and the world. I wanted to add a photo of us together in 1984 but the system is not permitting it, likely because of the age. Too bad.

We are sorry to hear of Troy's passing. You must be so proud of his accomplished life as a husband, father, brother, business man, and patriotic WWII hero. We are right next door if we can help in any way.
