I just found out about your Mom. I was really sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you. You have tons of great memories and history to remember and to celebrate Truella's life.

I have many fond memories of Truella. My mom worked under her at Social Services at the County Hospital. She had great respect for her. My memories include babysitting, puppet shows at Santa's Village with Mrs. Combs, and her interaction with our Scout Troop. She will be sorely missed as will her community service. My condolences to her family and close friends.

I was privileged to meet Truella at a Native Daughters Mission Restoration luncheon at Gilbert's on the Wharf. What a great lady she was! She will be missed.

Another pillar of Santa Cruz history meets her Reward. My dad had such great stories of days of Truella in the Police Dept., etc. I have fond memories of ballroom dance classes at Arion Hall, circa - jr. high, & our "grad party" at Pogonip -- and a wonderful pict of Otto.
Truella -- with Native Daughters of the Golden West love, you will be missed.
