Truman Taylor Obituary

Truman H. Taylor was born on a farm near Crowell, Texas, on July 12, 1925. On Oct. 15, 2013, he died peacefully of Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease at his home in The Woodlands, Texas, ready for his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Truman is survived by his wife of 25 years, Vonnie Taylor of the The Woodlands, Texas; his daughter, Suzie Bilnoski and husband, Robert, of Nederland; Texas, his son, Joe Taylor and wife, Cynthia, of Northville; Michigan; and his son, Ben Taylor and wife, Kristi, of Austin, Texas. His children are from his first marriage of 35 years to Evelyn Taylor, who passed away in 1984. He has eight grandchildren: Amy Stutes, Kye Bilnoski, Luke Taylor, Julie Prothro, Zachary Taylor, Paige Taylor, Reagan Taylor and Cade Taylor. He has six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and great friend, Bill Taylor of Dallas, Texas. He loved them all deeply.

Truman was a wonderful, kind man whose faith in Jesus shaped his life. From the time he asked Jesus into his heart as a boy, he followed his Lord humbly and faithfully, serving and showing kindness to others throughout his life. He always considered the needs of others above his own. His gentle, friendly demeanor impressed even people who barely knew him. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh.

Truman's loyalty was legendary. He worked 40 years for Exxon and was very proud of his company. He never forgot his roots on the farm in Crowell and attended Crowell High School reunions until quite recently. He ate Shredded Wheat every morning for breakfast from his boyhood until his final days.

Truman loved to travel. He visited 103 countries, all the states in the U.S., and all 254 Texas counties.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to WoodsEdge Church, 25333 Gosling Rd, Spring, TX, 77389 for The Truman Taylor Memorial Bible Fund. Checks can be made out to WoodsEdge Church. Please note "T. Taylor Fund" in the memo area of the check.

I have many fond memories of Truman. We worked together and attended church together. We visited in each others home and and a great time of fellowship. My prayer goes to all of the family that we dearly love.

Vonnie,

Our prayers are with you and all the family. We will miss Truman, but we rejoice in the knowledge that the separation is temporary.

John 14:1-2

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.

All our Love........
