We have admired Van over the years for his many admirable qualities. He has been a real-time example of the Master’s words, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40). Although we know we will see him again we will nonetheless miss his presence for many reasons. He leaves us his example and an influence that will not be lost. We would all be better to follow his righteous ways.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of a very dear friend to our family. Van was such a good person. He helped many young men financially while serving missions for the Lord....including members of our family - something we will never forget! He was so giving of his time and finances to others...always thinking of others and serving the Lord. He will be missed.
