Van was one of my Dad's (Ed Moynihan) best friends. i remember him coming over to visit when I was a child. I have also spoken to him on the phone many times before and after my Dad's passing. Dad and him used to bet on football games . He sent my dad a check and Dad didn't cash it for years just to drive him crazy. he sent me a very nice letter when dad died and it meant a lot to me. I'm sure they are together again.

Bull Goose Ben Van Richards Movin Van My friend. My memories are fond and many. So appreciative of his guidance and presence in my life when I was in my 20's. I was honored to have breakfast almost every saturday for a 4 year period with Van. A patriarch of the Elgin Y.M.C.A. his humor, protection, and counsel was personal and widespread. We love you and will never forget you Van R.
