Vance J. Scioli

I still think of Vance often. He wasn't just a good friend- he was a great friend! Always missed and in my prayers.

On behalf of Dan, Van, Donna, Al, Joe, Tim, Sharon, and Linda we would like to express our thanks to the many of you who attended his memorial mass and the for the hundreds of Mass cards, sympathy cards, telephone calls and e-mails that have been received in regard to Van's passing. It certainly gives us all comfort in knowing that Vance was held in such high regard by so many!
Van will remain in our hearts forever!

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I didn't know your brother, but based on the previous entries I've read here, he must have been a wonderful man--it's obviously in the genes. Take Care and God Bless.

Vance Jr., Dan and Family:

Your Father/Brother was "The Best Man I have had the fortune to meet". He treated my family as if it was his own. Protecting my kids and I throughout the 2004 Hurricaines, when we were without my husband. If it wasn't for his kindness, I may have considered repacking my boxes and returning to Buffalo. He is so proud of you, he showed me his picture from the Military and loved the fact that he resembled you Vance Jr.. He was constantly donating money...

Dear Scioli Family,

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Vance's passing. I remember him as a young girl growing up on Olcott Place. I will keep Vance and his family in my prayers.

As an old family friend I will always have memories of Vance. Growing up as I did on Olcott Place, I watched Vance grow as a child and teen-ager, an image of his Mother and Father. The Garrow Family mourns your loss but I will share his memory with my wife Louise and 5 sons.

To all of you that have wrote and called, thank you for your kind words about my brother Van. Although we all are deeply sadened over Van's passing, I think we all can remember the joy he brought to our lives. Van will always be "Uncle Buck".

Al, old pal, Please accept my condolences for the loss of your brother. Sorry I could not make the wake. I think of you often and this truly saddens me.
