Vera M. Ashcraft

XENIA Vera M. Ashcraft, 83, of Xenia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Greenewood Manor. She was born April 15, 1930, in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of John and Blanche Canterbury McCoy. She attended the Ledbetter Road Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Leslie W. Ashcraft, whom she married, August 9, 1949, two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce "Joy Marie" (Edward) Cox and Linda McDufford, all of Xenia, 12 grandchildren, Christopher (Duanne) Ashcraft, Matthew (Kara) Ashcraft, David (Tawdry) Ashcraft, Justin (Jennifer) Ashcraft, Matt (Stephanie) Rivera, Aimee (Casey) Ferguson, Ryan (Anne-Marie) Cox, Aaron (Kari) Cox, Jeremy Cox, Shawn (Jen) McDufford, Christina McDufford, and Michael (Brittany) McDufford, 19 great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Darlene Nehrer, Katy, TX, and Esther (Bill) Coffield, DeBary, FL, two brothers and a sister-in-law, William McCoy, Xenia, and Samuel (Carol) McCoy, Zanesville, a sister-in-law, Lynda McCoy, Columbus, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Paul Ashcraft, a son-in-law, John McDufford, a sister, Verma McCoy, and by a brother, Paul McCoy. Vera was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed sending cards to friends and loved ones. She liked to take care of her beautiful flowers in her yard and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, June 18, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Jim Usher officiating. Visitation will be held from 10am Tuesday, until service time.
