Judy,
So sorry for your loss. Verdan was a horseshoe pitcher and a true gentleman.
'What great things he did for our sport
in Northern California. We have lost a
great one. A fifty-year man, a Hall of Famer, and a legend.....classy, gracious, and kind!!
We are thankful for the times you and Verdan shared with us on the Stockton Courts. With our deepest regards and respect from all the members of the Stockton Horseshoe Club.

So sadden to hear of Verdan's passing. He was a gentle soul and loved by many. A great pitcher who had some great games with some of the greats. I was happy to see Verdan at our club last year as it has been some time since we last saw each other. RIP Verdan and keep putting those ringers on the golden stakes in Heaven.
Prayers and thoughts to his family.

Judy, my thoughts & prayers are with you & the Zelmar family. He will be missed by all of us from the HMB horseshoe club.

I always enjoy seeing that tall gentleman dressed in his white clothes. Judy was always close by giving him encouragement.
We both had ties coming from the state of North Dakota. I knew he was having trouble when we both pitched in that last tournament in half Moon Bay. Best wishes to Judy and the rest of the family

Sorry to hear about Verden. He and I played many games against each other which he usually won. He was a wonderful person and will be missed by we horsehoe players and veterans.

May you have my deepest sympathy.
