Verna Ann Bobbitt, a beloved homemaker and bookkeeper, passed away on September 2, 2025, in Somerville, Tennessee. Born on March 6, 1944, Ann spent her life nurturing her family and sharing her passions with those around her.

A graduate of Fayette County High School, Ann was known for her vibrant spirit and nurturing presence. Her lifelong dedication as a homemaker allowed her to create a warm and loving environment for her family. She married Rex Bobbitt on September 23, 1962, and their union blossomed into a beautiful family. Together, they raised three sons: Rex, Kevin (Barbara), and Cary (Dawn), each of whom carry forward their mother’s legacy of love and kindness.

Ann was particularly cherished by her six grandchildren—Nathan, Chandler, Chase, Cameron, Kendall, and Cadence—who brought her immense joy and laughter. She took great pride in spending quality time with them, whether it was sharing her love of music as a talented pianist or embarking on memorable cruises with family and friends. Her other interests included sewing and visiting Daytona Beach, where she cherished the sun alongside her loved ones.

In addition to her many roles as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Verna Bryan, and her brother, Jim Bryan. She leaves behind a legacy rooted in love, creativity, and a commitment to her family that will inspire all who knew her.

A visitation for Ms. Ann will be held on September 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland, located at 10670 US Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068, beginning at 1:00 PM. Her family will honor her memory through the presence of pallbearers Rex Bobbitt II, Kevin Bobbitt, Cary Bobbitt, Nathan Bobbitt, Chase Bobbitt, and Anthony Tuznik.

Ann will be remembered as a dedicated family member and a friend to many, whose life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, music, and cherished moments.
