Dear Marion, Alice, and family,

Only today I learned of Verne's passing. I am permanently grieved.

Our deepest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Pat and Jim Haight

Mrs. Read, Alice and Family--I was truly saddened to learn about Mr. Read's passing. Not only did I know him as Alice's warm and welcoming dad, but I had the privilege of working with him at TA Chapman where he was a revered and well-liked leader. He was always friendly, engaging and witty. He was interested in people's lives while maintaining professional dignity. He was truly a gentleman and a distinguished citizen. Milwaukee will him. All my best--Andrea

To the Read family, I worked at T.A.Chapmans while going to Marquette and Mr. Read was a terrific employer and gentleman. Not long after I was able to work with him as Alderman for downtown. He was without pretension and always intrested in the greater good. Sorry for your troubles.

Dear Marion and Family, we are so sorry to hear about Verne's passing. He was a lovely man who was always kind to us (as of course you were too). Wish we were there to hug you.

With deepest sympathy, John and Sue Patterson

Dear Marion, Such and exciting life you had together, always reaching for the next challenge. Please know that Ben and I are thinking of you and your family and send our love. Molly and Ben Abrohams

Dear Mrs. Reed and family, I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Reed's passing. He was a great and kind man and an inspiration to us all. Please pass on my condolences especially to Sandy, as we were schoolmates at USM. In deepest sympathy,
