Not sure what to say?

Vern and my Uncle Hank Hanlin were great friends during their teenage years. Stories of riding unicycles, and shaking it up on the dance floor were often told and retold. Others stories surfaced from time to time between my Uncle Hank and Mom, Marjorie ( Golden) Hanlin who attended MHS graduating from the same class as Uncle Hank. Heartfelt condolences to all of the family.

May God be with you, Vernon I do remember you you were a great teacher, back in 1970 and 1971.

I distinctly remember how nervous/scared I was at the prospect of having to cross the highway for junior high at Lincoln school after finishing the 6th grade at Lincrest. Yes, that´s how it was back in the day. After the first week though, thanks to both Mr Burrows, and Mr Marros, the nervousness and fear were gone! They were the perfect teachers at just the right moment in my life. They made learning both interesting and fun, and allowed not only me, but also my classmates, the opportunity...

Mr. Burrows was my 7th grade teacher at Lincoln School. My condolences to family. Really nice man.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. What a great man has been lost by our community. You are in our prayers Jan. Hugs

I was truly heartbroken to learn of the passing of one of my favorite human beings, Vern Burrows. I've known him almost all my life. My dad and he were more than good friends. I always admired him so much because he was so cool and even keeled, someone I could always talk to. To Jan, and Randy, I'm so sorry. I will be at the memorial for sure.

My heart goes out to the family. Mr. Burrows was my favorite teacher at Lincoln School. He was the greatest and coolest teacher I ever had and I´ll always remember him for his all time school dances! You´re all in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time. Tina Miller Yaklich

Vern was a cool cat. One of the best men I´ve ever known. He was so supportive of us through high school and years after. A true loss to the community. He will never be forgotten.
