Vicki Anderson Obituary

Vicki Charlene Anderson

Vicki was born to Ilene "Loveless" Rackas and William Rackas on March 2, 1936 in Seattle, Washington and she passed away on March 1, 2008 in Everett.
Vicki attended school in Seattle. As a teen she became involved in Roller Skating were she met and fell in love with her husband Douglas Anderson. Vicki and Doug were involved in the Skate Club in the early 1950's and Roller-skated in many events winning many ribbons for her (and their) Skating abilities. They have been married for over 54 years.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Anderson, of Tulalip; four sons, Roland Anderson, of Tulalip, Tony Anderson (Shelly) and Terry Anderson (Shelley), of Lake Stevens, WA, and Courtney Anderson (Anna), of Arlington, WA; three grandchildren, Rachel, Benjamin, and Ivy; and six great-grandchildren, Alicia, Alexander, Adam, Chelsea, Aaron, and Andrew; special grandkids, Tony and Judy Gobin's 10 grandchildren who called her "Gramma Bicky"; life-long friends, Roger and Pat Kiner and Dean and Diane Pearson. We will all miss Mom, Gramma very much!
Vicki and Doug made their home for the past 40 years on Tulalip Bay, living at Mission Beach and Totem Beach, raising their Family.
Vicki had many jobs in her life; she was always a very hard worker and could always be counted on to bring a smile to everyone's face. She managed the European Health Spa in Everett; she did work at many other Fitness Centers in the area. Doug and Vicki owned and operated many businesses including Harley Davidson of Everett; Anderson Towing, a 80-ft Tug Boat, which they worked throughout the Puget Sound and Southeastern Alaska; The Captains and Sons (a dry land Marina in Marysville) and Anchor Loans, a pawnshop on Hewitt Avenue in Everett.
She loved to garden and take care of her flowers; she had a "green thumb" and shared her starts with everyone who came to her home.
Vicki worked most recently at Tulalip Tribes Marina since May 2002. She was a well-loved employee by her boss, Tony Gobin. Vicki always was like a mom to the workers, Jerry, Mikey, Rocky and Merle. Everyone at the Marina and those special friends she had at Tulalip Tribes will always remember Vicki and the happiness she brought wherever she was.
Viewing will be from 2 to 6 p.m., on Friday, March 7, 2008, at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, WA.
Funeral Services will be at 12 p.m., on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Tulalip Tribal Center, 6700 Totem Beach Road, Tulalip, WA.

Deepest Sympathy, my heart goes out to all for your loss, Doug, Roland,
Tony, Terry, & Courtney. Have this
comfort; Jesus said in 14:1-4, In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. Trust the Lord for He's the only giver of True Peace.....
