Not sure what to say?

We had so many great days and nights at the lake property that Vicki and Jean owned. You could always count on vicki to bring a big ole bag of taters in her van, drag them out and throw them on the fire. I remember helping to build the dock out there and laughing til I had tears. I have great memories of those times. Thanks to Vicki.

I recall Vickie was always a sports person when she grew up in Bainbridge.
However, she did so much more to make
the world a better place and really
made her life make a difference. Her
parents would be so proud of her.
My sympathy goes out to the family.

My experience with Vicki was but a brief hello back 25 years ago in Nashville,TN. I was runnning a 5K at Metro Center. A running friend of mind pointed at this women and said " that women is one of the top female ulra runners in the country". I was told she ran 100 mile races and I was very impressed. I did not know someone could run 100 miles. It sparked my interest and I now have been running ultra's for over 20 years and hold the American record for age group 50 and over for 100 miles on...

Vicki was a great runner. I will never forget my first KTC race which was back in late 60's. it was a 15K and she entered the men's race because the ladies race was too short. She was 2nd behind Bob Godwin. i finished 3rd and remember her passing me.

I was eleven years old when Vicki entered my life. She moved next door to my family's home and she and I became instant friends. I ran cross country during high school and she and I would take early morning and late afternoon runs together. Vicki was always there for me as I grew from a pre teen to a teenager. She was a terrific neighbor, friend, and confidant. She was beautiful inside and out. I love you Vicki.

There are few people in the world who influenced me more than Vicki. I was about 16 years old when she became my next door neighbor in Knoxville. She was 10 years older than I. She was from New York. She was smart and beautiful and high energy and compassionate. She was sane when I was not and she filled the much-needed role of "mentor" in my life. She gave me a calm and mature perspective that was outside my small, emotionally-charged world. She gave validation to views (maybe just...

As a member of the great class of 1961, I write this with an empty lose but a heart blessed to have Vicki as my friend. She and I shared the love of sports. We participated in all sports and were each considered to be highly skilled athletes. The last time I saw Vicki was in 1976 while I was competing in ABC's Superstar Competition. We talked about our good times growing up. WE learned to water ski at her parents place on the river; we played basketball many days after school in her...

Don and I have many wonderful memories of Vicki as classmates with her at Bainbridge Central School. We saw her at a race in Davenport New York many years ago as well as the Boston Marathon. Her obituary is a wonderful testimony to her life and her goodness. She will be missed by many. Our sympathy goes out to her family.

Vicki was a good friend and a great mentor. Her contributions to the field of developmental disabilities were far-reaching and an inspiration to those of us who follow in her footsteps. She will long be remembered for the legacy she created at the Knox County Arc. She will be missed both personally and professionally by many, many people.
