When my husband and I heard of Victor's passing we were saddened by knowing we would not get to know him better but we are happy for him to be in a better place in the spirit world and we are thankful for the short time that we knew him and it was a blessing for us to have been married by him in our traditional way and to have received our naming ceremony through him and we feel honored to have known him. He was a good man with a good heart. Our prayers and thoughts are with you Marcia and...

Though his life was short, his legacy of the love of his people and his culture will live on for generations to come. He was a blessing, in the form of mortal man, to understand and honor traditions that were of the utmost importance to ancestors, and may this blessing live on in all lives that he touched by word and deed.

Marsha & family,

Please forgive me for not being there with you. You have to know that I was with you in prayer. I know you would understand, since you and Vistor had our youth a priority. You have so many precious memories to help you through and remember that our Father above is only a wisper away waiting to comfort you and wipe away those tears.

Your relatives, Kathy & Grandson Michael

He will be missed at Standing Rock Elementary School as he was loved and respected by the students and staff. He worked hard to teach the youth about the language and about the Lakota culture. I will always remember the help he gave me as a teacher to incorporate the culture into my classroom. He was a friend to us...

He understood all this, The traditions yet he shared what all he knew very un-selfish man with a heart as big as the world, big enough for all of us. Men like this, leave Voids in one hearts and minds. But he said "it is what you leave behind with all you know", "all your teachings"' "all your love", that what...
