Victor Lichty Obituary
VICTOR LICHTY Victor Andrew Lichty, Korean War Air Force veteran, and long-time Las Vegas resident, died at his home Wednesday, May 4, 2011, after a long illness. In 1955, Victor married Tiba Gallegos, who passed away in 1976. In 1981, he married Barbara Camp. Victor is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his children, Gloria, Simone, Karol, Victor, Tom, Starla, Sherry and Sue; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Born in Sedalia, Mo., Feb. 1, 1932, to Carrie and Alfred, Victor served in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic during the Korean War. His first business was Lichty & Sons, a company that built custom campers. He later owned an Indian Motorcycle franchise and his own tool truck. Viewing will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. A graveside flag folding ceremony and reception will follow.

Victor,I can honestly say that the few years that I knew you made an impression upon me that will not be forgotten. Your honesty and earned friendship will be missed. There definitly aren't many left like you. Everyone can take comfort knowing that no matter where your journeys may take you,that you are calling it like you see it.And that my friend is what I admired about you most...

Mother, we all share in the pain you feel for the loss of Victor. I know he is smiling down on all of us, because now he is happy and free again. Just imagine what heaven is in for with your mischievous husband’s arrival. Heaven will never be the same.
