Victor E. "Gene" Samanka

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Samanka family. I remember Gene's kind words about my dad at his viewing a couple of years ago.

Deepest sympathy to the Samanka family. Have known Gene beginning with little league; then college as my fraternity big brother and then to work with him. Gene had many great qualities. He was kind and unselfish. I will miss his congeniality and friendship. He will be truly missed.

I had the privilege of working with Gene while at the NWIRC. He was a mentor, colleague, and friend. His sense of humor and professionalism are two of his many qualities I remember most. Please accept my heartfelt condolence, Dori (and family). May this wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend rest in eternal peace.

As many others remember Gene's kindness and joyful spirit we all know that he will live in our minds forever. The Samanka family is and will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Your hearts will soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate his life. I loved his story telling about life in the Army.
