Dearest Terri, and family how can I find the words to express how fondly,and with how much gratitude I remember this marvelous friend, who not only was a consumate gentleman, but who saved my husband's life in 1963.His gentle demeanor,soft voice,and copius notes,gave us confidence ,and briliant analysis of a horrendous medical situation did the trick.Having known the Parrades family growing up I had met victor in the past,but oh thank God ,we knew him in the present.Both of you were...

I was a patient of Dr. Witten's for many years during the 1970's and 80's. His innovative treatment for cystic acne was revolutionary. The facials, the injections and his own prescription for makeup were innovative in his field. He was a kind and gentle man. I thank him for his fine medical care.

Our mother,Ruth Kasoff,worked for Victor for over 20 years. She is at Miami Jewish Home suffering from Alzheimers.Growing up Victor and your family were always a part of our lives and Mom thought the world of both of you.She would be very sad to learn of Victor's death as we all are.He was so well respected in the field of Dermatology but to our family he was a caring boss and friend.Please know our thoughts are with you and your family. I joined the faculty of the U of M , School of Medicine in 1961. I remember Dr. Witten as a tower of srength and dignity.He made me recover from the fact that I left Columbia University after 12 years. Dermatologists knew what DNA was , so I hung out with them.

Dear Terri and Sam, Victor was a brilliant and very special and distinguished man. His code of ethics was an example for everyone. True, he certainly was a renaissance, but he was so much more than that. At this time, I remember his parents, who were my wonderful neighbors in Jacksonville, and Sam and the children. What an amazing and extraordinary human being we have lost! My family and I had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Witten for several years prior to his final retirement. He was not only a gifted physician and scientist but one of the most kindest people I have ever met.
We all are poorer for his loss.

An esteemed, elegant, and distinguished teacher and practitioner of dermatology, who represented the highest standard of the profession, who the rest of us always envied and tried to emulate. He gave the very best care to his patients and was always available to teach students and residents.

Our heartfelt condolences to Terri and all of Victor's family. Victor was a giant in his field. He was a caring and truly professional physician to his patients. He cared for Eli, with devotion, when he was stricken in 1982.
In Aspen and in Miami he taught us, through sharing with us, his love of great wines and fine food.
We will never forget him, for the world rarely produces a
Victor Witten.
