Dr. Fisher - Victoria was my advisor here at Neumann College back in the mid-90's. She, a fellow Notre Dame grad, encouraged me to pursue my degree. Because of her kindness and good advise, I did just that and today I must say thank you to her. Without her encouragement, I would not have completed my degree. She was a lovely person and I'm better for having known her. She will be missed by many. regards, Pat Kelly

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I was fortunate enough to have been hired by Victoria as an academic advisor at Neumann in 1989 and I reported to her for 4 1/2 years. She was a nurturing, supportive supervisor, and an inspiring role model who encouraged me to pursue my graduate education. I remember her fondly.

Dear Forrest
I was so sorry to hear about Victoria's passing. She was such a wonderful person, always with a smile and nice things to say. I look back fondly at our "chance" dinner together at San Nicola in Berwyn a few years back. She will certainly be missed

Dear Uncle Forrest, Abigail, and Jeff -
We were so saddened to hear of Aunt Victoria´s passing. She lived such a full and wonderful life. She always was thoughtful, willing to lend a hand to those that needed it, and had a kind word for everyone. She will be greatly missed. Our words cannot express the sorrow that we feel, nor fill the void that her passing leaves. We only hope that you have some measure of comfort knowing that Aunt Victoria will live on through the many lives that she touched while she was here with us. Our thoughts are with you. Love, Jim, Karen, Alyssa, and Emilio

Dearest Victoria,
All those who were blessed to know you for a day or a lifetime are so devastated to lose you so suddenly but we are somewhat comforted to know you are overjoyed to be with your Blessed Mother and our Lord...what you've worked your entire life to earn--heavenly peace and the graces of life in heaven. You were so exquisite: beautiful, generous, kind, fun, smart, and above all the mother I never had but always wished for and the precious friend I honored every moment you were in my presence. I truly will miss your friendship and your loving advice... You made me a better wife, friend and mother. I will cherish your memory every day I say your "chaplet" and will look forward to continuing our celebration with a great vintage wine when I see you at the pearly gates!! I just hope I can follow your life example and earn that honor. I know in my heart that the words our Lord spoke when He saw you personally escorted by His Mom were, " we'll done, my beloved daughter"!!!! I will truly miss you here. All my love, Jackie
