Steve & Mary Sukow and Family

I remember living with my sister Virginia when I was a rowdy 15 year old in Lacome, Alberta. She had the patience of a Saint. She was always there to lend an encouraging word. I would not be the person I am today if I had not shared that time with her. It is impossible for words to describe how much of a wonderful person she was. The sorrow I have is only tempered with the knowledge that I will see her again. This is our blessed hope.

She was a lovely person, always happy and cheerful, joy always comes in the morning. We'll see you again, I'm glad I met you at singles camp this year, rest easy.

I met Virginia at Lourdes Birthing Center on a travelling nurse assignment. Working with Virginia made the night shift go by quickly and it was a privilege working side by side as we shared the same enthusiasm for mother baby care. She had a gift for making new mothers to be comfortable during their labor and shared genuine joy at the new life she helped to bring into the world. She became a close and dear friend. I will miss her energy, her infectious smile and humor. I know she is with Jesus...

I love you sister.

Thank you for your prayer and love. Virginia was my older very dear sister. She was a gift from God and I was so fortunate to have her in my life. My grandson was born one day after her death and I know she would have loved to kiss and hold him. She loved babies and I was lucky to have her help deliver my daughter. Virginia touched many lives with her smiles, love, and kindness.
I smile, she is at peace, the next time she opens her eyes she will see Jesus coming the clouds of Glory....

I am going to miss Virginia so very much. I am glad that I knew her, she would come and get a coffee from me every morning on her way home from work and would often stop and get a coffee from us on her way to work. Her smile is going to be missed.

Taken at Cousins restaurant on August 29, while Virgian was chatting with 22 new friends after having just joined Tri-Cities Singles Over 50, a social group.

I and my family were blessed to have Virginia pass through our lives. She was a good and loyal friend and a delight to share adventures with.

Those who attended our Tri-Cities SIngles Over 50 Sunday on August 29 had the pleasure of meeting Virginia for the first time as she joined our social group. The 22 members of TCSOF who were at that breakfast were saddened that we only got to meet and chat with her that one time. Her smile and social energy left many of us eager to become her new friends. Our prayers are with Virginia's family and friends. Bill DeBoard, TCSOF organizer, 845-7545
