Virginia Bass Obituary

Virginia Amy Bass (88), widow of Ray Bass, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, at Irvine, Calif. For many years she lived in the Poinsettia Gardens community.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Tramell and Yvonne Zubaty, and son-in-law, Jacob Zubaty, as well as her two grandchildren, Michael Tramell and Danielle Tramell LaBriola. Since the death in 2004 of Ray, her husband of 62 years, the lights in her life have been her four great-grandchildren: Bennett and Soren Tramell, and twins, Scarlett and Jackson LaBriola.

Although for the past few years she lived in Irvine, she was for over 50 years an active member of the Grace Bible Church in Oxnard. Virginia was a lifelong resident of California. With her husband Ray she delighted in traveling the United States, as well as Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

Burial is at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at Conejo Mountain, Camarillo. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Grace Bible Church, Oxnard.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Funeraria Del Angel Conrad's & James Reardon, 805-487-4911.

I worked with Virginia at the Navy laboratory for many, many years. I remember her as being very pleasant and efficient. It was always my pleasure to interact with her.
