Virginia Kessler Obituary
Virginia was born at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento on May 18, 1939 to parents Gebhardt and Esther Kessler. She was a Life Long second generation Land Park resident where her family had started The Union Dairy in Land Park.
After graduating from CK McClatchy High School in 1957, she worked at McClellan AFB and DMV before working for Dr. John Kassis MD for 30 plus years where she had started as a receptionist and eventually Managed all of the Doctor's properties.
While working with Dr. John Kassis she met her future husband Robert Mireault.
Upon Retirement Virginia and her Husband Bob began traveling the world, visiting Australia, Alaska, and all of Europe. After years of traveling they settled in Mazatlán Mexico, Palm Springs and Lake Tahoe.
Virginia is preceded in Death by her parents Gebhart and Esther Kessler, Husband Robert Mireault, Sister Gladys Parkhurst, Brother Jim Kessler.
Virginia is survived by her Son Michael Miller, Brother John Kessler and Many Loving Nieces and Nephews.
A Memorial Service will take place at Harry A. Nauman & Son, located at 4041 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95822 on November 4, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
A Graveside service will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, located at 2720 Riverside Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95818 on November 4, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Virginia was a great neighbor on 4th Ave from the time I first moved here in 2004 until she moved a few years ago. We walked our dogs together and shared gardening stories, among other things. She was especially helpful - both sympathetic and encouraging- after I list my job in the Great Recession. I cherish her memory.

My wife and I lived on the same street in the Land Park neighborhood as Virginia for many decades, until she moved - not too many years ago.
Virgina was a wonderful neighbor. Her and her father - Geb - taught us so much about the history of the Land Park area.
In the history book of the Land Park neighborhood is a picture of Geb holding Virginia as a very young girl - the Kessler family has such deep roots there and is so respected.
Virginia had a great and long life. She is missed.

I will always remember Virginia for how nice she treated me whenever I went to Uncle John's office for treatment. Over the years she became like part of the family and Doctor was fortunate that she dedicated her career to him.

I always remember her when us kids had to see Dr John she was always pleasant and they had tootsie roll pops in a jar for you if you were good while you were their for your visit with DR John. Thoughts and prayers for her and family. Bob Hauptman
