I hope that members of Virginia's family will see this late message. I was a middle school student of hers, taking a physics class in 8th grade. I was cleaning out some old boxes of mine and ran across my yearbook with her signature. I had always remembered her as an inspiring teacher and as I grew older, and became a lawyer when few women were in the profession, I realized how even more inspiring she was as a scientist.
