Charlotte , North Carolina - Wade Dalton Collins, 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April, 20, 2024.
Wade, the son of Guy and Eunice Collins, was born in Wingate, NC on July 14, 1937. Wade was a machinist for Terrell Machine Company and established Collins Appliance Service in 1969. He loved the Lord, his wife of 68 years, farming and family fellowship. He always had biblical advice and guided his family with love, patience and wisdom. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara T. Collins; his brother Lee, and his sisters, Ethel and Frances. Wade is survived by his sister, Shirley Gregory and his children; Jeffrey Collins (Rebecca), Rosalyn Long (Jessie, Jr.), Karen Bailey (Ronald), Michael Collins (Shelley); eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 26th, 2024 at Bible Baptist Church, 2724 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am with services beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF.org) or Bible Baptist Church. Condolences may be shared at www.McEwenMintHillChapel.com.
