Read MoreI know I'm late with this, but I just wanted to give my respects. I took one of Professor Pugh's math classes at Montgomery College back in 2008. I had always struggled with math up until I took his class. He was a wonderful teacher and really made me understand and love the subject. I continue to use what he taught me 10 years ago in my everyday life.

I had known Professor Wade Pugh for over 10 years. He always came to visit me in the MC Rockville, Math office, before he went to teach his class. He always had a funny story or joke to brighten up my afternoon. I will miss him as a professor, colleague, and friend. "Rest in peace" . My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Wade was quite a groovy dude, with colorful stories of his past. Some I heard at the copy machine and many when he popped his head in the office of many of us who share one, to give a friendly, "hello." I have know Wade Pugh for around 15 years. I helped him get his first full time teaching job at Mount Vernon College where he was loved by the students and the faculty. I have continued to use him as a substitute and tutor for my college courses. No teacher has ever cared more for his students than Wade. His passing is a great loss not only to Lisa but also to all the students who have known him and benefited from their association with him. He will be truly missed.
