Wallace Odom Obituary

Wallace Wayne "Wally" Odom Sr., age 77, was called home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2024. He was born in Wink, Texas on October 10, 1946 to Matterson Eugene and Jana Mae (Campbell) Odom. He was married to Janet (Henry) Odom for 55 years.

He was a Chemical Plant Operator and Member of the Fire & Rescue teams at Shell Chemical in Deer Park, Texas where he worked for 31 years until retirement.

He also served proudly as a volunteer firefighter with both the Ingleside and Pasadena Fire Departments for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by parents, Gene and Jana; sister, Deanna; brother, Danny; and son, Wally Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; his son, Scott and family; and son, Jeffrey; and numerous family and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Visitation for Wallace was held Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Wallace's life beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Pasadena Funeral Chapel, 2203 Pasadena Boulevard, Pasadena, Texas 77502.

Wallace was carried with full firefighter honors to his resting place by a vintage 1941 Oren pumper truck thanks to Jim Moss of the Baytown Fire Department on Monday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m., at Sterling-White Cemetery located at 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas 77562.
