I was so happy that I was able to befriend Walter at the Teresian House. I always looked forward to checking in with him and getting a smile. I hope I made his stay a little brighter. I'll miss him.

I sometimes look at my mother and wonder why she is still here. It's at those times that I can hear her voice saying "Before I go, there is someone I want you to meet".....and that's how I got to meet Walter Baucom and his family. Whenever I said hello to Walter, he would give me the biggest smile and as impossible as it may seem,his blue eyes became even more blue. For someone who supposedly couldn't speak, he was able to always tell you how special you are. I was inspired by the devotion...
