I am saddened to hear of Wally's passing. We worked together in NY at Contel/GTE. Over the years we stayed in contact and I once visited Wally while he was still working in Raleigh. Wally gave me a tour of his Corporate HQ and showed me the President's office who had white carpet. We both had a chuckle over that. Wally was always quick with a smile followed by a story. He was a good friend and coworker. I will keep Wally, Connie and their extended family in my thoughts and prayers. ...

I knew Wally from JEB Stuart High School. We had many classes together. He had an award winning smile, was friendly and kind. My condolences.

Wally was a great guy. I enjoyed working with him for several years at GTE/Verizon. After retirement we enjoyed shooting together in competitive handgun matches. I deeply regret that I hadn’t stayed in touch over the last year. My sincere condolences and prayers go out to Connie, his daughters, and all who loved him. RIP Wally...
