Not sure what to say?

Walter Fred Cox, Jr. July 27, 1942- June 11, 2006

Phred, I know you are in a better place, happy as a clam, and finding out all the answers to those elusive Cox questions we had so many of. Without your help, I sure would never have found my Cox's in Bibb County, AL. I'm glad we got to talk a few days before you crossed over, regarding my visiting those Cox's in the cemetery on the hill in Bibb County. God Bless you and your loved ones waiting here til they see you again.

When Fred was in jr. high and wanted to be in the high school band,he asked no one to buy him a trumpet, he went to work and made the money for it. That is the way he lived his life. He didn't ask for help.he gave it and I as his uncle was very proud.

It is so sad to hear of "Phred's" passing. We appreciate all the work he did for the Tippah County Confederates site!

Oh "Phred",
Although we never met I really did enjoy your participation in the MS GenWeb project. I will miss your comments. Bob from Copiah County, MS

Our dear friend, Phred, how and why? Oh how you will be missed online with all your bright solutions to our problems with the computers and stuff. I for one will charish all those hours spent consoling each other with the loss of our loved ones so few, yet many, years back. There were the three of us, me, Jackie, and you. Sometimes cousin Ellen would sit in with us, but we always stayed up too late for her. I have enjoyed your friendship and support thru the years, guy. Remember all the...

Fred will be an angel in heaven waiting to help other people. He was such an inspiration for us all who do family research. I will never forget his generosity.

Fred helped me greatly when I was starting my genealogy searches. He furnished a great deal of help, and even furnished corrections when I was going astray. He will be missed.

Many, many thanks are given for Fred's years of genealogy work, especially for Tippah County, MS. I only knew Fred through emails and his web postings, but definitely feel a sense of loss. May God bless his family and friends during this difficult time.
