Walter was my classmate at SJA '62. He was a gentle person, but he played a tough game on the basketball court. He and I would talk on the phone about our love for baseball. He had a great memory for places and dates, especially about sports. Walter was a gentleman and my friend. RIP my friend. Tom Callahan

I was very sorry to learn of Walter's passing. He and I were classmates at St. Joseph's and kept in touch over all the years, good conversations about the "old days" and the good music. My condolences to all his family at this sad time. Jerry Seminary Rotterdam
