Not sure what to say?

We were very sorry to learn of the passing of a great man. He was an inspiration to all. May his treasured memories help through this difficult time. May his legacy continue and the cherished memories help through this difficult time.

Doc Hurley ... What is one to say? The ultimate gentleman sportsman and athlete. To measure his life and contributions to the youth and the world ... one word 'priceless'. We are all the better for having shared a snapshot in time with him. I am so honored to have walked on the planet with such a Man. Thank you Walter (Doc) Hurley, Sr.

He was mentally strong and in good spirits, but physically he was not in good shape. We talked for a long time about the early days and the exciting basketball that was played at Weaver when we won two Connecticut State Championships and the New England Championship at the old Boston Garden in 1957. Doc was an exceptional individual...
