1989/ Chaning Bldg.. ...I Had on a $300 silk hat...Matching outfit. Im thinking.." A woman's hat is a part of her outfit," so the hats a go... NoMr. Kaye Passed me in the Hallway at work ( 4th fl ) .. By the time i got to the floor i worked on...( 20th ). My supervisorwas waiting for me.. She said " Melissa, Mr. Kaye said nice hat, but you must remove it at work... He was a very nice Humble man. May He Sleep in Peace.

I met Walter in April 1986 when he invited me to have breakfast at the Skye Club the day after my MBA graduation.
I did not accept his offer of employment, but I called him 2 months later and we forged a different business relationship.
In 2004 I mentioned his name and said-- " he was the nicest client I ever conducted business with" and to my surprise everyone at the table had conducted business with Walter and they all concurred!
If mankind could be like Walter the world...

I just found out about the passing of Walter. He was an enthusiastic and generous supporter of U.S. Army programs and soldiers. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. May God rest his soul. Ambassador A.E. Lenhardt, MG, USA (ret).

Dear Joan and Jennifer,
Our thoughts are with you during this challenging family time.
With deepest sympathy,

I will never forget the hospitality that Walter and Selma showed me when I moved to New York 28 years ago. It was so special, and I was a lucky kid! My love and condolences to Joan, Jennifer and Jill and the rest of the Kaye family.

Just found out about Walters passing. He was very special to Jean & I. The world will surely miss such a wonderful person

Walter and Selma were always gracious, welcoming and generous to all of us more-distantly related family members, which we greatly appreciated. We learned so much from them and will miss the ending of this era.

Walter, What a sheer joy you were to know since I met you in 1972 in Tucson with Joan. The next 43 years were a whirlwind of wonder and love with you and Selma. Private meeting in 1981 at the Opera with Pavarotti that you set up and then a trip to San Francisco to see me after cancer surgery. The memories and inspirations are endless. We love you Walter.
