Aunt Pat and All,
My words seem so insignificant when remembering Uncle Wally...
He was such a "larger than life" figure to me over the years. Always full of life and had so much pride for his "girls" and his grandchildern.
Through these past years and to this present day the essence of polish sausage and greek burgers brings Uncle Wally to my mind and of your visits to Erie - we were all so much younger than! It is hard to believe how the years have passed...
I'll always remember the wonderful dinners he work cook - and made it seem so easy! Also your pinochle games - Oh my!!! There was always a very loud um, shall we call them "debates"? over the cards played!
So many little things I remember that will be held close to my heart...
I am so very sorry for your loss...

Wally had a warm loving heart & was a wonderful man. He was always there to provide loving support his Grandchildren whether he was cheering for them on the sidelines of baseball games, attending school functions or birthdays - he was always closely involved with his family, and he will always be in my heart.

Although we have not seen each other in years, I remember cousin Wally as he was a good friend of my brother Ed Filipkowski. My condolences to his family.
