Walt would have been eleven years old and I was two when we all moved from Narberth to our Westview Farms on South New Street outside West Chester. The world was in an uproar, finances were a disaster, but our farm was a safe haven and we were too young to understand grown-up concerns at the time. As he grew there was more and more work he could do on the farm. The physical and mental strength he developed served him well as a champion quarter-miler, while serving overseas in the U.S....
