It was my pleasure to sit next to Walter in trombone section of the Westport Community Band. I learned so much from him musically and enjoyed his company. He is missed by the band.

To Walter

One of the finest gentleman and professional engineer that I have had the good fortune to know and work with. Deepest condolences to the family.

Paul and Gary-
My deepest sympathies on the loss of your Dad. He and your Mom never minded the rest of us adding to the Schlegel brood all through high school. My thoughts are with you and the rest of the family.

We'll miss you Uncle Walt. Your wisdom helped quite a few of us get through High School and beyond.

Nancy, sorry to hear about your father's loss. It sounds like he had a nice life.

Having known him for more than thirty years,I want the Schlegal family to know that I have the fondest memories of working with Walter.

Paul, I was so sorry to see that you had lost your father. It's a very hard time for all concerned, I'm sure. His obituary was impressive - seems to have been both bright and musical. What a varied life!
