Not sure what to say?

Loved knowing him and flying with him in the in the 1960s at PIEDMONT Carol Dobyns Fair Purser with American Airlines today!

My deepest sympathy goes out to you, Mrs. Doub, and to your family. Ward was a good friend and shipmate in squadron VPB-106. I know that you've suffered a great loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you. He will be missed by his many friends.

I am proud to have met Mr. Doub at one of their VPB-106 Navy reunions with my dad Durwood kelly. All these men in that squadron and all the armed services, then and now, are REAL HEROES who served their country faithfully and proudly.

Thank you Mr. Doub for your leadership.

Ward was a great friend, shipmate and buddy during our tour of duty as pilots with Navy Squadron VPB 106 in the south Pacific. Our bond together will never be broken. Ward served his country, his squadron and his family in the highest tradition of the Navy.

Captain Doub was a true gentleman, great aviator, and pleasure to fly with. Our Piedmont family will miss him!

Betty Jean, Sarah Jo and Randy,
I was so sorry to hear the news about Ward. My mom Sara and I thought so much of Ward and of the family.
You are in my prayers,
Jen McCarthy

Mrs. Doub, Randy, Sara Jo, Leigh Ann and Family, I wish to express my sympathy to each of you for your loss. I had the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Doub when I was in college with Leigh Ann at ECU and to visit with them in their home. I happened to see Mr. Doub's obituary in The Daily Reflector online today. Again I am sorry for your loss.

On behalf of the Piedmont Silver Eagles..we will miss Capt. Ward a whole bunch!
Buddy Bowen

I had the pleasure of flying with Ward for most of my early years with Piedmont. He was not only a kind and good gentleman, but had a wonderful sense of humor. My deepest sympathy to the family.
