Debbie and family, It has been a wonderful privilege to have you and Warren as friends.Some of the many, many memories, wine parties Paris, Matinique, political arguments, our two weddings(he was a great best man), music ,laughter and much more. Our condolences to the Schwartz/Chassman family. Warren was a wonderful man, a unique individual, and always a pleasure to be around. We will miss him, but will always have fond memories, too.

Debbie, our friendship with Warren and you is a treasured souvenir from our 1998 trip to the Galapagos. So glad we've kept in touch. Our deepest sympathy - Warren will be missed.

I knew Warren for only a short time--all too short--but I grew very fond of him very quickly. He was such a warm, witty, thoughtful guy. I feel that we were kindred spirits in many ways, and we shared a love not only of opera, food and wine, but also of great show tunes and jazz standards, which we would sing to one another whenever we saw each other on my opera tours. I will never forget waiting for the elevator at our hotel in Chicago only to have the elevator door open to reveal Warren and...

I had the pleasure and privilege of co-teaching the Law and Economics seminar at Georgetown with Warren some years ago. He was a wonderful scholar and a genuinely nice (and funny) man. I was sorry to learn of his passing.
