Tyler, Warren1944 - 2018Warren William Tyler was born on September 6, 1944. I can never really imagine him as a baby. It always felt like he just – appeared – out of thin air. He was authentic and consistent. He never wasted words and always helped a friend. He enjoyed good music and wine, he...

Not sure what to say?

We celebrated Warren's life in grand style at Copious, 520 South High Street in Downtown Columbus, Ohio, Thursday, February 22, 2018. Way too many friends were there; David Barker, Michael Coleman, Mary Jo Green Hammond, Mark and Cynthia Feinknoph, Larry James, Jim Carpenter, Brent DeVore, Sid Druen, Jim Ginter, Dan Heinlein, Rich Simpson, Bob Wandel, hundreds of other friends and family whose names elude me right now.

The family was represented by wife Marty Anderson, children Dawn...

It is with fondness that I recall the goodness of Warren Tyler who helped me find an apartment when I first moved to Columbus. Later, I came to know him in his role as civic leader through his support of the National Black Programming Consortium and our efforts to bring quality Black media to the city. Remembering Warren is to remember his pleasant demeanor and debonaire pressence. He was a great role model of success and community partnering.

My heartfelt condolences to the Tyler Family during this time of mourning. The Womack Family sends our love and prayers to you all.

Hi Arnett-

Just following up on my voicemail from earlier today. I was pleased to hear from Marty that you were able to rearrange your schedule to join the memorial celebration on Thursday. My dad was so fond of you and it will be great to have you at the celebration.

Would you be willing to play a song? You know my dad and know what he would like so, I will leave the song selection up to you.

I appreciate hearing from you ASAP as we are going to print with the program...

My sincere condolences to the Tyler family. For anyone who has been in/around the Columbus any length of time you were acquainted with Mr. Tyler. I had the great honor of interacting with him often during my Columbus Chamber of Commerce career in the 1980s and then again at Nationwide. I will always remember him as a great listener who while in conversations always made others feel like they were the only other person in the room and that what they were saying truly mattered. Truly the...

I'd like to offer my condolences to the Tyler family. I will fondly remember the golf, fishing and occasional drop of bourbon I shared with Warren. Keep a tight line my brother and rest in peace.
