Not sure what to say?

I can’t believe it’s been nearly five months since we lost Wayne. My reluctance to say goodbye is represented by this long delayed, but fond memory of Wayne.
He and I spent a lot of time sharing our lives with one another over many cups of coffee on Sunday after mass. He loved to talk about his children Price, Wally, and Michele, and Carol, the love of his life. Wayne (call sign “Beaver”) was my squadron-mate with VA-86 “Sidewinders” Home based at NAS Cecil Field in Jacksonville, FL. We carpooled together and become close friends, even visits with each other after retirement.

He had a marvelous sense of humor and playfulness, great to be around. We also shared an unusual trait, completely white hair and once, when together while refueling his car in Pensacola during a squadron reunion, we we questioned if we were brothers.
