Not sure what to say?

Wayne, You live on in the memory of your friends. I will not forget the day my sister reported a new boy at Garfield Elementary, with a dazzling personality. All her girlfriends talked about him for weeks. When I finally met you, I began to understand the hubbub; you were the most outgoing and congenial kid I had ever met, and a 'smart mouth' to boot; everyone who met you liked you immediately, including my parents, and especially my Father. You made cracks to him, and about him, that I...

Oh my gosh Mary Beth, it seems like yesterday you and Wayne would sit at your favorite table at China Gourmet and talk the night away! Just know I think of you always and pray that your wonderful memories give you comfort and joy! Much love to you and your family. Tina Lee

Dearest Wayne, you have never been forgotten and never will be-your family constant keeps you alive. You are dearly missed and will always be loved- Forever! Rosine

MCPS lost a leader who was ready to help those in need. He was a loving person. He helped me a long time ago and I will never forget him. The day has come for him to rest.

Oh my friend, has it really been so long? I can still see you coming thru the door of Stoney Creek with a big smile and opening your arms as if to say "Ta-da! I'm back!". I wish my grandkids had gotten to know you. You are still missed.

I truly love ya my friend. I wish I could track down Mrs. Waits...I love you both

A great friend and mentor to my children. A man who could see the potential in you and share it with others. May you Rest In Peace. Deborah Good and family.

MaryBeth, Christopher and family. I absolutely adored Wayne. He was a shining star in MCPS and in the world. His loss is still unbelievable. He brought so much humor, along with a tremendous amount of professionalism to his work. Some People you NEVER, EVER, STOP MISSING. Wayne was one of those people. Elaine

Wayne was a great administrator who hired me to come to MLK. He became a good friend to me and my daughter Michelle. He was her principal at both middle and high school. He also helped her get a four year scholarship to college by staying on her to get her applications and writings done. Of course his humor saved both myself and daughter many times. Rest eternally in peace.
