Not sure what to say?

My recent memory of Wendell is at Yolandas wedding. All of us decorating the car for them to drive off into the sunset, that will forever be held close to my heart with a smile =)

Hi Carmen,
This is Joe Roesler in Jacksonville. We all spent a lot of time together fishing and talking, going to the club.
He was a great friend. Take care and God bless.

I remember Wendell well. He was a good soldier and served his country with honor.

Captain Britt Knox, Commander 2d Platoon, Nov, 1966 - Jun, 1968

So sorry for your loss,I did not know Wendell personally, but I also was with the 117th only a few years later in 1969.
It was a great unit and I am honored to call him a brother. To Wendell and all my brothers who read this,"Welcome Home" SGT. Thomas R. Hammond RVN 1969 117 Warlords AHC

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Wendell was in the 117th Assault Helicopter Company in Vietnam Nov 1966-Nov1967. He was also a Life Member of the 117th AHC Association. It was an honor to know Wendell and to be able to call him a friend and brother. I always enjoyed being with him at our reunions and camp outs. Wendell was a great American. You will be missed many.
