Not sure what to say?

i remember mr wellander as the friendly guy who kept most of my you know what out of trouble in high school and also the guy who got me interested in trains, which i still love today, as does my son. i was very sad when i found out he died. alot of memories came flooding back. everyone from THS 1978 will miss him

Wes was a gentle loving person. I knew him through his church. He was always kind and loving and willing to serve his Lord.

Mr Wellander was a wonderful school leader and a great person. He was quiet, but always welcoming. I spent many happy hours at his home with his daughter Carol while in high school. It was a home away from home. My thoughts go out to his whole family at this time of loss.

I will miss Wes tremendously. His guidance and advice while at Turlock High and beyond is something I shall never forget. He lived a long and full life filled with joy and happiness. My deepest sympathy to Vi and the rest of the family.

Wes was a wonderful gentleman, with much insight, while serving on the Emanuel Board of Directors.
He will be missed. Our sympathy to you, Vi.

Mr. Wellander was a favorite teacher of mine. I will always remember his bringing to to life the classic literature he taught. I also enjoyed his reserved sense of humor.
