Mr Wellander was a wonderful school leader and a great person. He was quiet, but always welcoming. I spent many happy hours at his home with his daughter Carol while in high school. It was a home away from home. My thoughts go out to his whole family at this time of loss.

Mr. Wellander was a favorite teacher of mine. I will always remember his bringing to to life the classic literature he taught. I also enjoyed his reserved sense of humor.
