Not sure what to say?

I was privileged to serve with the incomparable CSM Wilbert Wilks when I commanded the Washington, DC Army Recruiting Company and he was my First Sergeant and he was an inspiration, a mentor, and a font of wisdom and brilliant little metaphors, stories and creative analogies. My favorite was, "sometimes I feel like a horse in a coral surrounded by goats." Then he let that sink in, notice the look of confusion on my face and then added, "everybody´s butting up against me and I don´t...

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. He was a true friend all 11 years. I was blessed by god to know this great man.

Mrs. Wilks and Family:

We are praying for you and your family. Sorry we could not be with you during the homegoing of your husband. Pastor Wilks will be truly missing from his active participation within our State Baptist E&M Convention. His active contributions will be missed.
